volunteering at Children's Hospital

Today was my first day to volunteer in the PACU recovery unit of Children's Hospital. It was very exciting! I actually was able to interact with the patients this time! When I worked at the info. desk, I had very little interaction with the patients. Today, I was able to help transport patients and help the nurses by giving them anything that they might need. I also learned how to sterilize a hospital bed. I washed my hands a million times, and put on more gloves than I ever have in my lifetime. Today was a great day. I am definitely looking forward to going back next week. I want God to use me through this and I pray that he will. Well, tomorrow I go to freshman orientation at UAB! It's pretty exciting!! I will update you on how that goes.
